Kean University Professor Showcases Work in U.S. and International Exhibitions

Jennifer Crupi, professor and chair of the Department of Fine Arts at Kean University, is receiving international recognition for her creative metalworks, which are currently featured in three prominent exhibitions.
Figural Apparatus, a two-person exhibition at the Curfman Gallery at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, features Crupi as one of just two artists. The show runs through Friday, October 31, and Crupi recently traveled to Colorado to deliver a gallery talk and class presentation in connection with the exhibition.
During her visit, Crupi said she valued the opportunity to connect with students.
“I particularly enjoyed my visit to Colorado State University,” she said. “It was great to have the chance to speak with the students about the exhibition, my work and artistic process.”
Two of her works are also on display in Delicate Expressions, a group exhibition at the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta, Florida, running through Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Crupi’s work is also reaching audiences abroad. Her series Ornamental Hands: Figure 4, along with prints from the full collection Women’s Hands: A Walk Through Time, Space and Cultures, is on view at the Museum of the Woman in the Netherlands through Sunday, December 21.
“It is exciting to know my work is reaching a large and diverse audience,” she said. “I am always looking for opportunities to expand the reach of my work, especially internationally, and I am happy to play a small part in bringing recognition to Kean University.”
Her ability to participate in these exhibitions was supported by a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship, awarded to her earlier this year.
“Professor Crupi’s accomplishments reflect the exceptional talent of our faculty in the College of Liberal Arts,” said Elizabeth Reddington, Ed.D., acting associate dean of the College. “Her success elevates Kean’s profile in the arts and enriches the experiences of our students.”
Crupi's achievements underscore Kean’s impact in the arts and design fields, reinforcing the University’s reputation as a hub for creativity, innovation and global engagement.
